PROTECTION PRIMER

Protection Primer is a high-quality, fast-drying primer for the pre-treatment of treated and untreated substrates made of wood, metal, aluminium, glass, stone, fibre cement and earthenware. It is a professional spray paint with a 4-in-1 function: an adhesion primer, a welding primer, a rust inhibitor and a topcoat in a single product.

Protection Primer can be applied directly over surface rust. It will seal and stop the rust. Suitable primer as a pre-treatment for topcoating with alkyd resin, nitrocellulose, 1-component acrylic and 2-component acrylic lacquers. Suitable Nozzles: item 0039 - WIDE JET (XL) and item 0038 - WIDE JET (M).

Pre-treatment:

• The surface must be clean, dry and free of grease.

• Remove any flaking old paint and rust, then sand the surface.

Treat:

• Allow the aerosol can to reach room temperature.

• Ideal application temperature: 15 °C to 25 °C.

• Shake the aerosol can well for 2 minutes before use and spray a test patch.

• Hold the can approximately 25 to 30 centimetres from the surface to be treated.

• Apply the primer in several thin coats.

• Shake the spray can again before applying the next coat.

• After use, clean the nozzle (hold the spray can upside down and press the spray nozzle for approximately 5 seconds).

• Drying time depends on the ambient temperature, humidity and the thickness of the applied coat.
