The solder sleeves can be used on both braided (flexible) and solid (rigid) cables. This applies to both copper and tinned versions, although not combined.

To be able to use the Dual Tin Solder Sleeves, a heat source is necessary. Use a lighter, hot air blower, etc. Slide the conductors into the solder sleeves and press the solder rings flat to hold the sleeve in place. The Dual Tin Solder Sleeves heat up at the solder rings until they flow evenly and then heat the ends so that the colored rings perfectly insulate and seal. Then let the sleeve cool without moving it.
