- Easy Fix is a neutral curing, elastic, one-component polysiloxane. This polysiloxane has a high skin elasticity shortly after skin formation and can therefore be loaded shortly afterwards. In addition, this kit has a durable elastic recovery capacity after curing. The Easy Fix has good adhesion even under extreme climatic conditions. Easy Fix is highly resistant to yellowing.
- Easy Fix is specially suitable for sealing window connections, joints, other movement joints, and for sealing joints in sanitary and wet rooms. It provides a durable and good adhesion on most substrates, such as anodized aluminum, poly-acrylates, painted wood, glass, concrete, ceramic, plastic, etc. Easy Fix can be used in pools with chlorinated water. There are some conditions attached to this. The substrate must be dry, grease-free, and dust-free. The use of Multi Primer Transparent is mandatory. The product must be completely cured before filling the pool. Extreme changes in chlorine levels should be avoided. We also have a certificate for use in dust-free rooms and medical environments.
Pre-treatment of the substrates:
The substrates must be clean, dry, dust- and grease-free. Clean non-absorbent substrates with Multi Primer Transparant. For PVC profiles, we recommend pre-treatment with a mixture of Isopropyl alcohol (IPA-industrial alcohol) and water in a ratio of 1:1, to achieve optimal adhesion.Processing:
Apply glazing tape for a glazing top seal. The minimum joint cross-section should be 3 x 5 mm. When determining the joint size, choose the joint so that the MTV (maximum allowable deformation) of the Easy Fix is not exceeded. Fill the joints with PE or PU backer rod and secure at the correct joint depth. Oils, tar, and bituminous backer rods such as rubber-based, chloroprene, or EPDM materials are not suitable.Joint filling:
Apply Easy Fix without air entrapment in the joint. Fill the joint completely. Smooth the sealant with a suitable spatula. Optionally, ProPart Easy fluid can be used.Cleaning:
Fresh and uncured sealant can be removed with Bond Ex. Fully cured material can only be removed mechanically with suitable tools.
