2K PUTTY

2K Putty is a two-component modified rigid epoxy designed for repairing rigid composite plastic and fiberglass. 2K Putty is formulated to work on all rigid composites including plastic (SMC, BMC, and RTM). 2K Putty is ideal for use on fiberglass parts where extra strength is needed. This product is intended as an adhesive and filler on the front and back sides of repairs. 2K Putty can also be used on our Urethane Repair material. 2K Putty bonds, fills, and sands without holes. This rigid adhesive/putty is also used and approved by OEMs such as GM, Toyota, VW, and many others.

2K Putty is an excellent rigid filler typically used by professional plastic repairers for its sanding, adhesion, and feathering properties. 2K Putty can also be used to bond non-structural metal, SMC, fiberglass, rigid plastic, and glass.

• Clean damaged area, front and back, with Pro Degreaser and allow to fully evaporate.• DO NOT spray cleaning agents directly onto the plastic surface as plastic and "fine" compositions absorb solvents. Sand front and back, if applicable, of the repair area using 80 grit sandpaper.• Create a V-groove on the front of the repair.• Clean again using Pro Degreaser.• For repairing holes/tears, reinforce with reinforcing tape on the front and/or back of the damaged area.• Mix equal parts of part A and B until color is uniform. Apply filler to the front and back of the repair area. Allow to dry for 30 minutes before sanding.• Sand all around with 120 grit sandpaper.• When applying a second layer of putty, clean again (step 1), then apply a second layer of putty.• Finish with 180 or 220 grit sandpaper.
